The car even brakes automatically to prevent backing into a bush (or worse). We enjoy the XM radio on the CUE system and the back up camera and parking assist features work flawlessly. After more than two months, we are very pleased with the car. This motor has proven its performance and reliability for more than 10 years on tens of thousands of GM cars and trucks, including the Chevy Camaro. Having a very positive experience with the 3.6 engine in my older CTS, I was pleased to see that this car had the same motor. The car is primarily for my wife and met her requirement for AWD and outward visibility. The Cadillac salesman was very helpful and came down to meet our offer without making us go through annoying back and forth with a sales manager. The car is also Certified, meaning we get an extended warranty for no additional cost. The car was a lease return and had only 11,300 miles on it. We were looking for a late model used CTS sedan when we came across this 2013 SRX Performance model.

Went with the black.black seats, dash and carpet and carbon fiber (rather than wood) and that did the trick.

Did not care for one color dash, different color seats, different color carpet.then the wood accents.a little too pimpy for this lady. Interior - the black seemed to be the only model that had "matching" interior. Feels sturdy when driving - we drove a few of the competitors which felt light weight and unstable - this one just felt safer when driving. Great gas mileage around town (over 17) and handles well in the snow and ice. Great interior, easy to use and fun to drive. Even with the base model, it is quite luxurious. If I had to do it over, would have for sure gotten the rear camera. My only issue is blind spots.they take a bit to get used to. Loved it from afar from the first time I saw it. Remember the commercial.when you turn your car on, does it return the favor? This one does! Couldnt quite pull off the luxury package so we got the base and I do love it. Although the newer version sacrifices some space, power and performance, it offers a significantly nicer interior with upgraded materials and technology. Later versions of this Cadillac crossover are a bit smaller, with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, two rows of seating and V6 power. If you're shopping for a used Cadillac SRX, you'll find early models with either rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive and options like a third-row seat and a V8. Typically priced below European rivals, the SRX makes for a genuinely appealing alternative thanks to its distinctive styling, pleasant driving character and feature-rich cabin. The result is a more comfortable ride and better handling, along with plenty of versatility unless you need to tackle heavy-duty chores such as towing or off-road travel. I gotta believe that it could be purchased for less, and re-sold post-conversion for close to what you'd pay.A luxury crossover SUV, the Cadillac SRX utilizes components and construction more often associated with cars rather than the rugged truck-based underpinnings GM uses for its more traditional SUVs. I'm near Ottawa - whereabouts are you? trader.ca shows a few SRXs ~$10,000 and an '04 with a grey interior and 3rd row. If you never move the title into your name, you might be able to avoid sales taxes on the purchase. I don't know if the year matters, though -both our '08 and our '04 had ebony interiors and the 3rd row and the only difference (to my untrained eye) is the driver's side panel in the rear - to accommodate the power door piston assembly.Īnother option to find a matching wreck would be to buy an older and high mileage SRX with the 3rd row, do the swap, and sell the older one post-swap. Your best bet is to find a wrecked SRX of the same interior colour. To the OP, this conversion has been done before (search this forum) and, technically, it could be DIY but enough panels are in play (you're installing seat belts in the ceiling as well as the seat panels and switches) that I'd give some consideration to getting a shop on this one.

Our '04 had the 3rd row and we used it often enough that it was a mandatory feature when we went looking to replace it last year - not surprisingly, our '08 has it.
